About the author
NCLEX Simulator is written and led by a practicing nurse. Every item is authored and quality-checked against current Next Generation NCLEX standards.
David is a U.S. Army public health nurse who designed the simulation engine, authored the item bank, and built the adaptive CAT algorithm behind NCLEX Simulator. Every question is written from a real clinical scenario and quality-checked against current Next Generation NCLEX standards.
How each item is built
A three-stage standard
Every question moves through the same process before it reaches a candidate. Items that fail any stage are revised or removed.
Clinical accuracy
Each scenario, correct answer, and distractor is grounded in current evidence-based practice.
NGN alignment
The item is checked against the correct Next Generation item type and the clinical judgment skill it is meant to test.
Rationale and scoring
The rationale is verified for clarity, and partial-credit scoring is checked so the result mirrors real exam logic.
